Summer Ball 2001

i am well and truly sleep deprived...

we went to the ball about 11 ish so i got my wish of not going till late. wandered round for a bit and caught the last bit of Ash but completely missed honeyz. wandered round a bit more and told the bouncers that Em's boyfriend (Sam) was my carer and that i needed him to push me on the grass but that Em was my carer as well coz i needed her to help me in the loo etc. - all complete lies but never mind! so that was cool coz they let us keep going in the exit to get to the loos and into the union itself. was slightly pissed off when we got there coz they made me pay on the gate to get in so that was £26 but never mind as i got pointed out to me it was the first time i have ever paid to get into leek road so...

went on the waltzers!!!!!!!!!! i was like i don't know if its a good idea Em, i'll be sick. but she was like well go anyway so i did but coz i was a bit worried coz my balance is so shit she and Sam sat either side of me and she asked the guy not to spin us round and also he said he'd put it a bit slower but we all said afterward that if that was slow and not being spun then i'd hate to go on when its fast and you're being spun!!! i had to close my eyes coz i got sooo dizzy when i had them open Em's top of her dress fell down (apparently i had my eyes closed at that point in time) and i was that close to being sick and i don't know how i managed it but i wasn't. despite all that and the bugger it was to get me on/off i enjoyed myself and i'm glad i let em make me go on them - i'd said i wanted to before we went anyway so...

wandered round a bit more and tried to find the marquee with grooverider in coz that's where we thought the others were but we found a general music venue that was kinda like shag! and stayed there for hours and eventually the others joined us. took loads of photos and i was freezing so Em stole Sam's tux jacket for me. Gary, Rob, Rach, Rache and Nicki were with us as well as me, Sam, Lisa, Em, her Sam, Jen, Anna and Sarah, Sams sister.

stayed in that marquee partying the night away till nearly 4 then went in for a while went to try to get food at 4.30 and it was light and i was like whats going on?! how can it be light?! couldn't get food so we just walked home and sat and ate microchips and choc and then made it to bed about quarter past 5!

woke up this morning at half 12 by a text and just been kickin' about ever since.

been chatting to Sair and she's kinda annoyed with a friend of hers and annoyed with herself for being annoyed but i was saying to her that it might be silly but its part of you and that you wouldn't be you if you didn't have all these little kinks in your personality

i'm really wondering how i managed to think of something so deep and meaningful when i can hardly keep my eyes open - obviously too much sleep is bad for me
